Five more trees and counting!

November 20, 2012

I received my last shipment of trees yesterday and promptly planted them.

They sent me a free cherry tree with this shipment a very nice surprise!

I planted an apple tree, a pear tree, a plum tree, and a peach tree and the cherry tree yesterday.  That brings the total of trees, shrubs and canes planted this year to 32!

The ones next to the chicken run are the plum and peach.

I’m hoping they will get some benefit from the compost heap in front and some shelter from the winter winds from the chicken coop.

Peach and plum can grow in Michigan, but I don’t think they like to much so all the help I can give them will be much appreciated I am sure.

I can’t get over the amount of pleasure I am getting from working with the land in this way.  I have a sense of accomplishment I haven’t felt in years.

Thank you Gaia!
